Most importantly, a sand pool is no more difficult to maintain than a traditional liner or tiled pool. Our coating Pebble can be cleaned by simply washing it off with a jet of water under pressure. It is also very difficult to slip on a sand coating and it is safe for children and the elderly.
To create such a beach structure, a pit is first dug, similar to a normal swimming pool. The difference is that for an artificial sand reservoir, it is necessary to create a complex geometric shape. After all, you will not find a geometrically correct shore in nature 😉 In addition, to enhance the effect of "being at sea", a smoothly curved coastline is always made. The rejection of straight lines creates the feeling of a real seashore.
A sand pool (sandy) using Pebble technology is made from a special concrete mix covered with compacted sand or small pebbles. This means that the surface of the pool never heats up. It is also non-slip, both dry and wet.
You can build a sand pool in as little as 30 days (ideally, of course, when the weather permits). The entrance to the sand pool is gradual. It starts at ground level and gradually increases in depth along a soft ramp, imitating a real sunny sea beach. There is absolutely no need for stairs or steps. The process of creating a pool with a sandy shore and bottom begins with the development of a project that takes into account the size of the site, its relief, soil characteristics, vegetation and, of course, the client's wishes.
The next step is to dig the pit. If it turns out that the project looked a little different on paper than it did in reality (for example, the bowl is too small for the area), you can make some changes at this stage.
The walls are built with bricks to prevent crumbling and settlement, then steel reinforcement is installed, utilities are laid and concrete is poured using the gunite method.
Regardless of the size of the pool, the filling is done in one session. If the work is carried out in several stages, seams will inevitably appear which will have a negative effect on the watertightness.
After the main mass of concrete has set, additional elements are formed - elevations, niches, beds of future waterfalls, etc. Then two layers of waterproofing are applied. This covers not only the walls and bottom of the pool, but also the sides.
It is applied by hand, creating a smooth and seamless coating that is almost indistinguishable from real beach. The material adheres firmly to the substrate and will not crumble into the water or litter the area.
